"NEW STREET (South-East Side) No. 34 (Sunset Cottage) and No. 36 (Sunrise Cottage)(Formerly listed as Nos 32 and 34 (The Rising Sun Public House)) II Including No 12 (Ladson Lodge) Ness Road. Early C19. L-shaped block. 2 storeys. 3 windows facing New Street and 4 windows facing Ness Road. The south-west wing, now No. 34 (Sunset Cottage) is of painted brick. The remainder of the block is of painted brick on the ground floor only and tile-hung above. Tiled roof. Most glazing bars intact. Ladson Lodge has a doorcase in a moulded surround with pediment over supported on brackets and 6-panelled door.
