HALLING CP HIGH STREET TQ 76 SW 13/54 West side Nos 94-96, (even) - II*
Hall house, now house pair. Late C15, clad in C19. Timber-framed and plastered with plain tiled roof and large brick ridge stack to right. Wealden hall plan with 1½-bay open hall and storeyed ends. 2 storeys withe jettied ends to left and right. Roof plate on curved braces. Irregular 3 window front, with original hall window to left of centre. Interior: very large inserted stack in ½ bay of hall with stone jambs and moulded bressumer. Brattished wall beams at both ends of hall. Crown-post, collar-purlin roof.
