II
House. C15. Timber framed with rendered infilling and plain tile roof. 4 timber-framed bays: open hall of 2 equal bays with one storeyed bay at either end. 2 storeys on stone plinth. First floor jettied at both gable ends. Most of visible studding is applied, broadly spaced, with tension braces. Steeply pitched roof hipped both ends, with gablet to right. Brick stack in front slope of roof off-centre to right and large projecting brick stack on stone base on front elevation of right end bay. 3 gabled dormers with 3-light casements immediately over 3-light casements on first floor. C20 ribbed door to left end and larger C20 ribbed door under wooden porch slightly to right of stack. C20 rear wings of re-used timber, ground floor red brick, first floor timber-framed with plaster infilling. Interior: has exposed beams and posts close-studded partitions. Moulded end of hall beam. Moulded central truss posts and crown-post, with steeply cambered moulded tie-beam. Service door, Inserted C16 hall floor with moulded axial beams and cornice. Large inglenook fireplace with chamfered stone jambs.
