7/36 Tudor Lodge Gift Shop and Peacock Antiques (formerly listed as Iffin 13.10.52 Cottage and Costen Stores)

Hall house, now shops. C16 and C17 with C20 alterations. Timber framed with flint plinth and plain tile roof. 5 framed bays, the 4 to right of Wealden hall plan. 2 storeys and attic, on plinth, with continuous first floor jetty. Projecting gabled cross-wing to right. Right hand framed bay C17 and close-studded cross-wing with C20 ground floor bay window, C17 first-floor oriel on coved solid bracket, and garret light. The two central recessed hall bays now with later close-studded infill. Bays 1 and 4 with open- panelled, tension-braced "Kentish" framing. Ground floor largely C20. Irregular fenestration of C20 mullions; ground floor bay window to left. C16 chamfered two-centred arched doorway left, C20 shop door to right. Interior: partition to cross-wing close studded; Reputed evidence of smoke- blackened roof timbers.
