Method of Fix: Aerial Photograph Interpretation Photograph Number: KCC 1967 Line 32: 1392 One of a group of barges lying against the shore inside the curved pier at Loading Hope Reach (1). This one lies nearest the shore and appears very dark on the black and white print. An oblique projection from the river-ward end is suggestive of a large rudder. The plan view indicates a more shapely vessel than long, narrow barges commonly seen on this survey. The group cannot be seen on the 1990 survey. KCC 1990 Line 8: 0144 shows a single small vessel against the shore in TQ 8965 7162. It was not seen during a 2002 survey (2).
