The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5273 CHISLET HIGHSTEAD

II
2. Early C19 exterior to probable late mediaeval timber-framed building. Two storeys yellow brick. Steeply pitched old tiled roof with large smoke goblet to left hand side. One hipped dormer. Three sashes with glazing bars intact. Later porch.

Two-bay 2 storey cross wing formerly jettied at the front external side and possibly at the rear. Late 17th century or early 18th century hall range. (2)
