Hall house, much restored and altered. C15. Exposed framing with plaster and brick infilling. Partly tile-hung on 1st floor. Overhangs to right and left ends of front supported on exposed joists and brackets, that to right partly concealed by C19 tiled porch on wooden supports. Steep hipped tiled roof with catslide to rear and two ridge stacks. 2 storeys, irregular fenestration of odd C19 casements. Door behind porch with wooden 4-centred arch moulded sur- round, probably C16. Interior. Carved crown-post in roof.

Complete Wealden house with formerly open 2-bay hall and overshot passage. The upper end is jettied to the end as well as the front. There is much 17th century reconstruction of roofs and of end bays. (2)
