Summarised from report:

A number of pillboxes were constructed across the Western Heights in the 20th century to cover the approaches to the heights, these are generally inter-visible. This example is a Type C Quad and is located on St. Martins flank, directly to the south of St. Martins Battery. It has been substantially damaged in the north-west corner, possibly by enemy action, despite this it is clear that the internal faces are 2.6m on all sides. There is a doorway, 0.71m wide, in the north-east wall, flanked by a
blocked embrasure, 0.61m wide by 0.46m. The south-east and south-west walls each have the remains of a single large embrasure of a type seen only in this pillbox; there is an internal splay from a narrow external aperture. (1-3)
