A Transmitter Site of Second World War date was visible as structures on US/7PH/GP/LOC286 V 5010 19-APR-1944 in the eastern corner of Quex Park. It comprised five dispersed masts, buildings and a central tranmitter building with earthen blast walls. The site is later noted as demolished on RAF/58/643 Vp2 5086 20-APR-1951 and now lies beneath a caravan park (1-2).
