A linear bank forming part of a defended locality of Second World War date was visible as earthworks on RAF/HLA/383 RS 956-957 28-DEC-1941 and US/7PH/GP/LOC295 V 5005 19-APR-1944. It was recorded as a levelled earthwork on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021.

The bank is formed of discontinuous sections ranging from just over 3m long to around 50m long. It is very similar to an embankment on the north side of St Nicholas at Wade that runs parallel to a zig-zag trench line (MKE93220). In this southern location, the bank stands to the south side of a complex of trenches but does not closely mirror their layout. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-4)
