An extractive pit of Medieval/post-Medieval date was visible as a cropmark in US/7PH/GP/LOC295 V 5005 20-APR-1944. It was depicted on the first edition Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 County Series map but not on subsequent revisions. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024.
