A military installation of Second World War date was visible as earthworks and structures on US/7PH/GP/LOC286 V 5008 19-APR-1944. The features were recorded as levelled on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. The site includes one gun emplacement formed of a pennanular earthwork with entrance to the south-east at TR 3275 6364 and a second, formed of a sub-circular hollow, at TR 3278 6369. At least six small structures positioned alongside the nearby drainage ditches may be stores or other material for the gun positions.
