Timber framed open hall house probably dating to the second half of the 15th century. In its original form it was a double fronted Wealden house. The hall was floored over in the first half of the 17th century and a brick stack was inserted. In the late 18th or early 19th century the building was converted into two shops, the west bay demolished and the north and the new west wall rebuilt in brick. (1)
