The pound was located in the Grain Marshes on a small meander in a creek. The pound comprised a building with a fenced-off enclosure blocking the entrance to the area formed by the loop in the creek. The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheep wash recorded as Homemarsh Pounds on historic Ordnance Survey maps (1st epoch (1879) - 4th epoch (1938) ). The pound was located at TQ 8693 7605 in the Grain Marshes on a small meander in a creek. The pound comprised a building with a fenced-off enclosure blocking the entrance to the area formed by the loop in the creek. This was site was recorded during the course of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1-4)
