A large shallow pit, which was located on the west side of a palaeochannel within zone 11, contained 86 pieces of worked Bullhead flint of a likely Early Neolithic date. The pit, which measured 3.78m by 2.9m, was ovoid in shape with a concave profile and had a depth of 0.5m. the upper fill contained flint blades, flakes, cores, a scraper and 55 chips, the presence of which is likely to indicate contemporaneity of the assemblage and the pit.
