A sub rectangular pit was uncovered during excavations 2001-2003. It was situated adjacent to a medieval ditch and they are possibly associated. The pit measured 3.5m by 2.3m and survived to a depth of 0.4m its function is not clear but it contained a small quantity of Medieval pottery. (1)
