Excavations in advance of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link in 2002-3 identified a number of Romano-British property boundaries west of the Ebbsfleet. Within property 6 a series of post holes appears to represent a structure along the street frontage. Although it is uncertain, it appears that this building was oriented at 90° to the street, and was approximately 5 m wide and of unknown length. The building appears to have two phases and the later is associated with a chalk floor. (1)
