Name:Gullys associated with early Roman timber building, Springhead, Northfleet

Summary

A series of gullies associated with an early Roman timber building were discovered during excavations at Springhead in 2002-2002. The first lay to the south east while the others were to the west of the building parallel to the slope, with a rather more irregular, curving ditch or gully extending south-eastwards from it. It is likely that all were probably defining a boundary surrounding the building. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
