St Mary's Church was built in 1790 and was originally a chapel of ease to St Lawrence, known as the 'Ramsgate Chapel'.It is shown on the 1862-75, 1897-1900, 1907-23 and 1929-52 maps. It bwas destryed by a bomb and Apollo House was built on the site, as shown on the current O/S map.
