Mount Ephraim Mill was a corn post mill constructed in 1735 and blown down in 1955. The mill is labelled on the second edition OS Map (1897-1900) but is probably visible on the first edition map (1862-1875) (1).A post mill of which was moved to the site in 1818. The mill was built in 1735 and originally stood at Ringleton, approximately half a mile away, where it was shown on a map of 1769. The mill stopped work for two years in 1877, but was bought and repaired by Joseph Brockman in 1879-80. In 1918 production switched to cattle cake. Production ceased in 1935 (2-3).
