Founded in 1797. Registered under Flint & Sons before 1892. In 1923 it was acquired by Alfred Leney & Co, of Dover. The Brewing ceased in 1923.(1) Associated with the brewery are two maltings. One behind the brewery, TR 1436 5842, which is rectangular with a extension on the North East side, that was used as the Malt Kiln. The other Maltings is at the side of the brewery, on Roper Road. It is a short rectangular building. Both of the malting appear to still be there, but the brewery seems to be mostly demolished.(2)
