Site of Gravesend Airport (aka London East Airport), founded in 1932 the site also included production facilities where Edgar Percival manufactured some 22 aircraft. The site was taken over by the RAF during WW2 and used as a fighter station. Closed after the war the site is now largely covered by Riverview Park housing estate. Location of airport componants uncertain, NGR given approx centre. (1)
