Summary

This maltings complex was built in 1858 by Shepherd Neame, Faversham brewers. It is situated at the south end of Preston St against the railway line. The maltings stand parallel to the track with the round kiln buildings at the eastern end. In the southern corner of the complex was a small maltsters house. The maltings and kilns have now been converted into housing.

Preston Maltings, C19 maltings complex sitauted at S end of Park Road against railway line. Maltings parallel to track with external kiln roundels at E end. Converted to housing with insertion of dormers into kilns. (1) The Malting was built in 1858 by the local brewery Shephard Neame. In the southern corner of the complex was a small malster's house.(2)
