The Royal Military Hospital, Shorncliffe Barracks (434 beds) was a central military hospital (administrative centre). The Canadian Army Medical Corps operated its General Hospital No. 9 at Shorncliffe from Sept. 1917 to Dec. 1918. The General Hospital No. 11 operated there from Sept. 1917 to Sept. 1919. The building was demolished to make way for housing. Shorncliffe military camp comprised the Military Hospital, Moore Barracks Military Hospital and Beachborough Park - Moore and Beachborough were allocated to the Canadians. Moore Barracks Canadian Hospital (967 beds) in May 1915 - on 10 Sep 1917 it became No 11 Canadian General Hospital and included the affiliated hospital at Beachborough Park.
