[TQ 61637412] A "cave" at the bottom of the Ebbsfleet valley was broken into by a tramway which was cut in 1881. Roman pottery was found at the bottom. The site is within 200 yds. of the old limit of the high tides. (1) Nothing seen on the ground which is waste land. (2) Additional bibliography. (3,4)
