A Belgic-Roman refuse pit was discovered in 1884 while foundations were being excavated for No. 9 Buckland Hill, Maidstone. In store in Maidstone Museum are a rough-cast beaker in fragments, a jar of smooth white ware (restored), miscellaneous Roman pottery fragments and sherds, a brooch, and animal bones.

A Belgic-Ro. refuse pit was discovered in 1884 while foundations were being excavated for No. 9 Buckland Hill, Maidstone (House centred at TQ 7520 5607). In store in Maidstone Museum are a rough-cast beaker in fragments, a jar of smooth white ware (restored), miscellaneous fragments of samian ware, 2nd c. A.D. sherds, a Group C fibula (Aucissa type c.50 AD) and animal bones (No accession numbers). (1)
