This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).

Pillbox [Sector 4]. Cassini ref 671539. Folkestone. (1)

A Second World War pillbox is visible as a building on aerial photographs taken in 1942, though it has been demolished on aerial photographs taken in 1945. The pillbox is centred on TR 2332 3598 and appears to be hexagonal. It is located on the gridiron just off the viaduct in the middle of Folkestone harbour. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2)(2-3).
