Large blade from Botany Bay Pit, Galley Hill; possibly from final Upper Palaeolithic "Long Blade" industry, collected late 19th C by H Stopes, and held with Stopes lithic collection at NMW Cardiff (1). Most likely from alluvial deposits nearer the wharf or the old clay pits nearby in the area.
