Mint condition and unpatinated flakes (n=3) and retouched flake-tools (n=2) were found by Dines in a wedge of bedded sand at c. 40-45ft OD, exposed in the quarry face and covered by brickearth (1). The artefacts (held in the British Museum) were examined in 2005 for the Medway Valley Palaeolithic Project (2 - collection reference HOO 01), together with archival notes by Dines that give detailed information on the site. Site listed in Southern Rivers Palaeolithic Project (3, 4), although with incorrect OS grid reference.
