Swalecliffe foreshore, lower (eastern) outcropping Last Glacial channel - mollusc-rich deposits and source of various ice age fossil mammal recoveries, none of them however found in situ (1-3). Continuation of deposits that have produced ice age fossils and other palaeo-environmental remains at Swalecliffe Wastewater Treatment Works (4, 5).
