A finely-made and white-patinated handaxe of classic bout coupe shape seen by Tyldesley (2, p66) in Canterbury Museum, ref L1964/1, presumably the same handaxe described by Roe (1, p260) as from "Faversham". Museum register reports that handaxe was found near Brenley Corner (estimated NGR 604000 159800) and acquired from Mr Gray. Tyldesley (2) says that it was found during construction of the M2 motorway, and that it was found 9.5 miles to the northwest of Brenley Corner (which would be at NGR 588600 160600, in cutting near Bredgar) but this info is otherwise unsubstantiated. Find later included in Southern Rivers Project (3, 4)
