Small blueish-white patinated handaxe of British Mousterian bout coupe form illustrated by Smith (1), originally found by G Rice, but no info on provenance. Roe (2) later found three handaxes from "Copton" or "Copton-in-Preston" in British Museum collection and regarded one of them as of bout coupe form (3). Tyldesley (4) could not find a bout coupe specimen in her later review. Site later included in Southern Rivers Project (5, 6).
