Inn was included in the 1692 List of Licenced premises in Canterbury. It was given 6 soldiers from the billeting list

Licensing lists and directories name the following as innkeepers;

1900 James Foulds
1903-05 Walter Stiggles

The Inn closed in 1920, becoming Mr Edwin B Hedger's butcher's shop.
