Report by Evans (1) of a fresh condition and unstained/black handaxe from "the new cemetery", possibly St. Paul's cemetery NGR 615385 157740. Two handaxes provenanced to "new cemetery" seen by Roe (2), one in British Museum, the other in Ashmolean, Oxford; one of these might correspond with that reported by Evans (1). There are also other possible cemetery sites in Canterbury, one of which at NGR 613600 158400 is suggested as possible source of some handaxe finds in the Southern Rivers Project (3)
