One Palaeolithic handaxe was found in terrace gravel deposits in the northern pit at Hoath, part of the East Blean gravel spread outcropping between 114.8 and 109 ft. OD (1-5). It was a small, abraded crudely-pointed form from an 8ft thick seam of gravel. Recorded in Roe's Gazetteer (6) and then in SRPP (7).
