Former loose courtyard with working agricultural buildings on one side and with additional detached elements to the main plan. OS 1st edition has a brickworks at this location. By the 2nd edition this seems to have gone, although several buildings remain on 2nd and 3rd edition maps, and both have the neighbouring strip of woodland labelled as 'Kiln Shaw'.
