[TQ 5166, sited to place name only]. Diminutive hand axe, 2.2 inches long, without its point from Wested. White and bluish patina with slight iron moulding; crusted on rather thick butt. (1) Paleolithic implements found at Wested and near Farningham Fort on thewest side of the Darent valley. (2) TQ 5166 Findspot of a Lower Palaeolithic handaxe in an area of Chalk or Clay-with-flints geology. (3-4)
