A MBA spearhead was found c.1945 and a broken bronze chisel c.1949, at the Roman occupation site [TR 16 SE 7: TR 18456038] in Messrs. Brett's Quarries, Westbere Marshes. They were dredged up during gravel-working operations. Both are on exhibition in the Royal Museum, Canterbury. The chisel (acquired 28/6/49, accession no., RM6324) is two and three quarter inches long and one inch broad; and the spearhead (no accession no., from Westbere Marshes) is looped and nine and a quarter inches long.
