(TR 14925822 sited from CAT plan p18) Tower 17 - medieval. Drainage works in St Radigand's in 1971 exposed the city wall in three places. Dr F Jenkins relocated a square tower 11.6m east of the bridge over the Stour. The tower is recorded on an estate map of 1789, but not surprisingly on Doidge's map of 1752. (1)
