(TR 14755733) The remains of a Roman external angle-tower were excavated in 1960 7.16 metres west of the Dane John wall-tower [TR 15 NW 95]. It seemed to be horseshoe-shaped with a maximum diameter of 6.2m. The front had been destroyed by erosion and landscaping and elsewhere the foundations had been very extensively robbed. (1)
