(TR 15435849. Sited from CAT Topo map). Northgate Bar. (1) In Sturry Road, at Coldharbour Lane, nearly half a mile from Northgate is one of a series of bars existing in the 12th/13th centuries which must have been part of a scheme of outer defence for Canterbury. (2)
