[TR 15105764] St George's Tower [NR]. (1) TR 151576 St George's Tower. Scheduled No 96. (2) Former tower of St George's Church. Mainly 15th century, but one Romanesque arch and some restoration. (3) St George's Church, Canterbury, extant in 1200 (4a), enlarged and extended in 1871, destroyed 1942. Tower, restored, still stands. Christopher Marlowe baptized here. There was a small surrounding churchyard to the north-east. (4)
