The line of the tramway [probably dating from the early 1860s] which replaced the canal (TQ 77 NW 123) for the carriage of chalk from the'Quarry' to Johnson's Cliffe Creek cement works. The line ran alongside the canal, and is represented on the ground at present by the track/footpath to the Creek. No rail remains in situ. (1)
