Brickfield operated at the end of the 19th century by Richardsons who also had cenet works at Conyer. There were washbacks and a fixed kiln. The works were connected by a tramway to the Dock on Conyer Creek adjacent to the cement works. The site is marked on the 2nd edition OS, but is marked with 'old kiln' on the 3rd edition.
