Five test pits were dug at Whittings Farm in August 2005 for the Medway Valley Palaeolithic Project. Fluvial gravel was encountered in TP3 below 21m OD, and a small flint flake was found from sieving a 100L gravel sample from the upper part of the terrace gravel (1)
