Summary

Romano-British Burial Group found at Crismall Farm during the laying of a lawn. Consisted of three urns with cremated bones, a Samian saucer and other pottery fragments. Some of the pottery was dated to the 2nd century and was presented to Maidstone museum.

At Crismill Farm near Bearsted a Romano British burial group was found in 1926 during the making of the lawn. It consisted of three urns with cremated bones, a Samian saucer and other pottery fragments. The pottery has been presented to Maidstone Museum. Two of the pots were of early 2nd century date. (1) Sited at [TQ 8136 5512]. (2) The siting given by Auth. 2 confirmed (a) and surveyed on Antiquity Model. The pottery is in Maidstone Museum.
