TILMANSTONE SCHOOL ROAD TR 35 SW (North side)
4/113 The Old School
GV II
School, now house. Dated 1857. Brown brick and ragstone with fish-tail tiled roof. T-shaped plan. One storey and attic on plinth with cogged brick eaves to half-hipped roof and rear stack. Pentice-roofed oriel window on main block, and projecting 2 storey porch; with Y-tracery Gothic windows in side elevation, and pierced barge-boards and oriel over traceried half-glazed four centred arched door, with label hood over and date 1857. This cottage has similar elements but probably predates the 2 others associated with the Dene Court estate (items 3/109 and 3/112).
