escription from record TR 15 NW 368:
Nos 8A and 8B North Lane [TR 14625819 sited from OS 1/1250 1971]. Grade II. An early 19th century façade to an earlier building. (1) No 8A North Lane. Original building timber-framed of uncertain date. Single fronted, double pile house with early 19th century front and mid 19th century top storey. No 8B North Lane. One bay of medieval hall house. Altered early 19thcentury. (2)

Imported from the Canterbury UAD: Formerly known as the Golden Ball Inn.
This is another of Canterbury's short lived inns. Licensing lists record the first inkeeper in 1882-1888 was Charles Hill, and in 1889 F Gilham. Little is known after this time. It is now a private house. (3)

2. An early C19 facade to an earlier building. 2 storeys stuccoed with a further storey in red brick added in the later C19. 2 sashes with verticals only. 1st floor 3 light sash. Doorcase has 6 Panelled door, 2 of these panels glazed to form a fanlight. Grade II for group value.
Nos 1, 2 & Nos 4 to 15 (consec) form a group.
