A broken ovate flint implement was found on the surface about a quarter of a mile south west of Marden Church in 1865. This site has been developed as the Cockpits Housing Estate.

[Area centred TQ 74134436]. A broken ovate flint implement was picked up on the surface about a quarter of a mile south west of Marden Church in 1865. (1) Additional bibliography. (2-3) Recorded by Roe in the 1960s (4), then listed in the Southern Rivers Project in the 1990s (3).
