During preparations for new conservatory foundations trenches were dug. Over a metre of stratified deposits were revealed (including at Greenacres a 1st century well) and these produced a considerable quantity of Middle Iron Age pottery together with some Belgic and Roman material. (1-2)

There was also an excavation on this site in 1995 from which several PAS finds were recorded.
